1.) They only make clothes for skinny people and still make them feel fat. I am a size 0. The one and only time I went to Abercrombie (with my cousin) the clothes I tried on that FIT me(fugly ones.) were 2 sizes bigger! Then we went to about 5 different stores and everything that fit me was a 0.

2.) They're RACIST. I have never seen a black, Asian, Middle Eastern, or Latino Abercrombie model. Why is this?

Also, they made some shirts with deragatory statements about Asians. One is "Two Wongs make it White".

And I didn't see ONE non-white person working there. I mean WTF, NOT ONE AND THERE WERE LIKE 10 PEOPLE IF NOT MORE WORKING THERE.

3.) It's expensive. Compare it to Aeropostale, Papaya, Body Shop, etc. And they use CHEAP SWEATSHOP LABOR to make them, so why the expensive clothes?

People at my school say that if I think that it's expensive, that I must be poor! Again, WTF!?

lovebirdlol, you're right. But Target isn't really my style. More like Body Shop, Rave, Aero, and Papaya. But yeah, I see what you mean.

You don't have to be poor to call it expensive. Tyra Banks recently said on her talk show that she shops at a dollar store, where everything is $0.99, and she's quite wealthy.

But you are absolutely right. I call them Abercrappy and Fruitcake, though. I've got a few more names for the others stores like them as well! :-)

The quality and workmanship of their clothes is complete garbage, you can seriously get the same exact quality at a second hand or thrift store. I've never liked their style, I've also never liked their price tag and I am poor. But to charge so much for something just because they slapped their tag on it is ridiculous! I haven't seen the slogans on the t-shirts, but from seeing their ads in magazines, tv and just walking by the store they do come off as racist.

I do believe they make their clothes for the people that don't have a figure, as I have heard someone say their clothes are designed to give the less gifted an actual shape, so be glad you can't fit ino their clothes. It obviously means you are shaped like a real women, not a preteen with a very straight shape and no meat.

And no sizes are not all the same, to the person above that said they were not off. In Old Navy's pants I am a size 4. In Unionbay, I am a 7/8. Now I call that quite a difference. Both pants fit exactly the same and are the same width when I hold them flat against one another. This is also the case with several other brands of pants I own. I can fit into a size 5 in Z.Cavaricci pants and I can fit into a size 1 in Periscope pants. Again...laying them ontop of one another...same width.

You do know that size 0 is something made up by stores to make people feel better about buying clothes there?

See, in our society where being as thin as possible is "in", if someone who would have been a "2" ten years ago is given two identical shirts and one says it is a size zero and one says it is a "2", young women will buy the size 0 because it makes them feel better.

You are the same size no matter what the label says and no store is passing judgement on your size and neither is anyone else. So if it fits and you like it and you look good in it, then buy it!

As for A&F, people shop there to fit in with other people that shop there. Most of their clothing just has their logo in big letters across the front and feels like a worn-out T-shirt my older brother threw away. Why would anyone want to pay a store to advertise for it?? Most people pay for advertising. People that shop at A&F are paying that company to do its advertising and A&F knows it!!!!!!!!!

Umm I think you may be overreacting. A&F has had black models on their site before. Maybe the store you were at just had alot of white people on that shift. I've been to tons of stores that only have white people working there before. The majority of America IS white, you know.

The sizes are not that off -- maybe you really don't always wear a size zero. I wear a 0 at A&F and Aero, so I really don't see the difference of 2 sizes you are talking about. It might just be how the jeans fit your body shape, but its not like that for everyone. & if they only made clothes for skinny people .. why are there size XL & 12 in their store? I don't know any skinny person who wears those sizes.

I agree that those shirts sayings are a little mean, but that was years ago. If you disagree with A&F's morals, thats your problem. Don't shop there then ?

And though it is expensive, so are lots of stores. I've seen AE, Aero, PacSun, ect. carrying shirts for $20 [actually thats about the average price of a tee at those places] && almost all A&F shirts are that price, too. Someone who shops primarily at Wal-Mart would consider Aeropostale expensive, and a homeless person would probably consider Wal-mart's prices out of the question, while A&F is most likely cheap to a celeb who wears Chanel & Armani. That too, is opinion.

Abercrombie & Fitch is not evil. People who make questions like this are either angry that they can't fit into their desired size, unhappy they couldn't afford something, or, like you, just don't like A&F's style. But thats opinion, and you have to be open to other people's. I don't like Hot Topic, but I don't protest it. If people shop there, thats cool.

I know people are going to think my response is snobby or something, but I make a good argument.

I ♥ A&F =]

The ironic thing is that Abercrmobie may be using REAL sizes instead of the watered down version most manufacturer's have gone to. 20 years ago you would have been a size 2. Because women will not admit to getting fatter, the stores/designers have slowly lowered the numbers so that now there is size 0 and size 00. They never existed before. And it AIN'T because people are getting smaller.

in south africa they have levi's they had to specifically cut the jeans different for the black gurls to wear them

It's cool girl you don't need to wear those ugly-*** clothes. There made for people without curves....if you know what I mean. The clothes are cheap looking anyways! Plus there are better stores to shop at!

Um I'm Panamanian and Black, all I wear is Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle. There's racism everywhere. Maybe it's just that particular store that's got it bad. The clothes are expensive but its the fabric that makes it worth it.
