I dont mean to gross anyone out, but I got the runs really bad. Medication isnt working. I have been drinking a lot of mint flavored hot cocoa, and I was wondering if the milk or the peppermint oil in the cocoa could be causing the tummy probs. I cant find anything on the web about the particulars, so I thought I'd ask it here before I run back to the doctor (btw-I have no health insurance so I would have to pay the doc). Thanks, and again, sorry for grossing anyone out. :-)

Tummy troubles are usually caused by bacteria in the gut and any food you eat feeds the bacteria, especially dairy products. For 2 days, try drinking only clear drinks- water, peppermint tea (not chocolate) or any other herbal tea you find palatable (some of them take a bit of getting used to), and eat no food
