u could just be dehydrated cuz ur body needs twice as much water when ur pregnant (hence im now pissing like a race horse after 12 pints of water a day!) but if its not that then try '4head' that little stick u just wipe ur 4head with. only do it once cuz it makes that strip coldish. but ur head aches gone with in 5 mins!! bril. its less than 2 inches long so it'll fit neatly in ur handbag, has about 200 or 300 uses in one stick and costs about £4. works out cheaper than paracetamol (which u can take during pregnancy, just not regulary)

I had horrible headaches at the beginning of my pregnancy. The only thing you can take is Tylenol. No more than 2/ 500 mg tablets every 4-6 hours or something like that. I used to take the Tylenol and then go lay in a warm tub for a little while. If that didn't help I would put a hot rag on my forehead and a heating pad on my neck. There really isn't much else you can do. It once got so horrible I went to the emergency room, all they did was check to make sure I didn't have a bleed in my eye. They didn't give me a IV or any medication at all. They said they could give me Demerol but since I was so early in my pregnancy it could cause fetal defects so I opted to pass on the shot and had them discharge me so that I could suffer at home. Caffeine is also good for headaches, maybe drink a 12oz. Coke with the Tylenol. Good Luck and remember it will pass. :)

I have also been told only to take Tylenol. What you can do depends on what you think may be causing the headaches to begin with.

If you are still drinking soda, coffee, or eating a good amount of chocolate, try to cut back and see if that helps. A lot of times headaches and migraines are triggered by caffeine.

Are your sinuses acting up pretty badly? I know this has been the main cause of most of my migraines while pregnant. Try taking a hot shower and let the water run over your face. This should help loosen things up. A saline nasal spray will help when used regularly, too. Also try a hot compress on your face.

If your neck and shoulders are tight and giving you the headache, there are a couple of different things you can try. See if you can get someone to give you a massage to relieve the tension. Otherwise try a hot pack on your neck to loosen up the muscles. Those are all of my tricks of the trade, hope something helps!

You could try using kool and soothe headache patches they are jelly filled and you keep them in the fridge until you need to use one and you just put it ton your head and relax.

I had very bad headaches when i was pregnant and was due an eye test so when i went to see my optician he told me that when you get pregnant your hormones can affect your eyesight, that was what had happened to me and i had to wear glasses for the rest of my pregnancy but only for reading and watching tv as my eyes were fighting against eachother to focus properly.

I also found that if you don't want to fork out loads of money on special headache products some crushed ice in a towel or a cold compress does the trick.

There is also a thing called 4head wich you rub on your forehead when you have a headache.

Hope this helps

It is hormonal. Migraines are even more common during pregnancy and can be triggered by a variety of things--especially strong smells. My doc told me to take tylenol, and just the recommended dose. I would wait until it was unbearable. You could also try using lavender oil massaged in your temples or get one of those hot/cold masks to put over your eyes--try it cold. I would also ask your doctor too, just to be on the safe side. It is good just to go by what your doc says considering they all have different opinions.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
