I wouldn't say they are completely young, they are younger. They got Igawa, Wang Cano Melky(if he doesn'tget traded), Philip Hues, Andy Philips and many more that are going to be the future Yankess. So yeah I really do think they are younger. Check out the link below to see the players' age.

Yes, little by little they are getting younger. When you are able to trade a 38 year old outfielder in Gary Sheffield and a 43 year old pitcher and get young promising prospects for them, it's a good step. They still have a lot of guys in their 30s, but who are still very good players. I think that the Yankees habit of acquire older, declining players has come to an end, and we will see more young guys taking their place over the next 2 or 3 years.

I think the Yankees are making smart moves. They still have the talent to win a championship and they are replacing players out of their prime with solid prospects. I think Steinbrenner finally has come to his senses.
