I am new to my neighborhood. Everyone here is either related or have known eachother since kindergarten. They all have their long-standing groups, and they don't welcome newcomers well. How do i make friends?

Obviously, it's hard to move. If it really is hard, look for other new kids in your school. You can also try to talk to someone when they are by themselves. It's a lot easier that way. You'll feel more comfortable too. Once you get one good friend, they might introduce you to someone else, and so on. As is said before, if the school really doens't like new students, look for some new students. They are probably in the same situation you are in.

try taking an intrest in something they like maybe open up and say that u r just trying to fit in . i went to a completely new school this year and so i made friends by joining clubs why don't u try it?

Honestly, I can't tell you the answer. I met new friends just when I talked to them at school, or if my old friends introduced me. Um... just try to be nice to people or maybe someone will "welcome you to the neighborhood". They might have kids.

Just ask them. Join more things. Find out their interests. Have a block party and invite them.

Just be yourself,they will crack eventually,people will be curious about the new person,stick with it,it will get easier

just hang around outside and they will sooner or later come to you....they want to know who you are...they will come...sit outside and read.....hang outdoors, ride a bike....skateboard....barbque....do what it takes to hang outside....thats all.....or just go introduce yourselft to them and say hi my name is so and so and im new to the area....I like to bla bla....there you go....good luck!!!! easy as that.......Navy Mom.....Military wife and I had to teach my kids how to make friends over and over again....
