I close it but I don't know what for. Kids seem to think that's the best time to tell you they love you.

I don't even have a door on my bathroom! Seriously! I live alone and I took it off so I could use the space behind the door for shelving. The bathroom is in the bedroom, so if I have company I just close my bedroom door when I use the bathroom. There is a second bathroom for guests to use.

No it doesnt have to be shut. When I'm alone no it never gets shut but when I have my husband and boys home it gets shut. My two year old is too curious and the other boy is only 3 months so its not really that big of deal for him. My husband doesnt care but its just one of those things, we managed to make a kid together but I dont want another one anytime soon so I guess I keep it shut...lol.

Only when you are alone should the bathroom door be open. If there is anyone else in the house, no matter how long you've know them or how close you are, the bathroom door should be closed

When I am alone at home, I usually keep the bathroom door open when i use the bathroom

depends what type of person you are, i am the same even if i am on my own or with a friend who i know knows im going toilet i still shut and lock the door, why would they come in if they knew i was on the toilet and why should i care everyone has to go?
you dont see dogs and cats doing it in private ! :)
so the answer no, i don't think it has to be lol

If you are home alone and the main door is closed, I guess you dont have to shut your bathrrom door. However it also depends on your tolerence levels.

It used to be only when there was company, but now with a three-year-old following me everywhere I go, I tend to close the door and lock it at times! It's hard to find peace at times, even there!
