Its OK with modem, just wondering if it will make much difference getting broadband or will the PC be too slow?

depends a little more on how much ram you have but if you have 512 meg and firefox (don't use IE), you should be fine.

It will make a big difference.
The speed of your PC has almost no effect on your internet access. Intel claimed that one of their new processors would speed up internet access but the only difference the processor makes is in the playback of multimedia. If you get a broadband connection you will be able to download files and open web pages much faster than you can with a modem.

It's only OK with a modem because you have not put it on broadband yet. Yes, it will make a big difference for that class of machine.

yes it is,,,, they where on years ago, why not now, you just need enough memory and windows 98 at least, thats all, the processor will handle broadband
