what kind of events happen what goes on in the battles what cultures and famous legends of our time are in it??

The movie is about an ancient belief that the Egyptians had a stone that could make things around it (ie. the wax figures) come alive in the evening. There is some history in reference to an old president, Lewis & Clark, the Romans, the old settlers of our time and their building of the railroad, Africian animals, and some other very historical beings and statues.

I also believe the story is about situations we see way to often in our time now. Split families and hard times! Trying to follow a dream only to find out .... you will have to do something different. Also, it has to do with the split families and how to help confort those close to you (ie. his son).

If you have not seen this movie, you should. My kids and I saw it and it was great.

Yes, it's a good movie.

I'm not going to buy the dvd, however, once you've seen the special effects, there's not much left that you'd want to delve into in greater depth. Don't look for historical significance either. Teddy Rosevelt tells Ben Stiller that he's not the historical figure, he was made in a manequin factory.

The plot is very very simple and without the special effects, the movie wouldn't be any better than the Apple Dumpling Gang. After all, the arch villian is Dick Van Dyke, and Mickey Rooney is comic relief!
