Gas heaters normally recover in approx 30 minutes. Electric water heaters will take 45 minutes to an hour on the average.

I've heard of a rechargeable cell phone or cordless drill BUT never a rechargeable water heater. Must be some big batteries!

Closer to an hour for gas, longer for electric.
