I have an acne treatment that has won me the best answer better then twenty times. Often, the person who voted it the best answer was amazed at how well it worked, even those who had severe cases of acne. I'll copy and paste it below.
Use a hot compress on it, and then use cool water to close the pores. Do the process over and over again, about five or six times. Use soap to wash the area, and then treat it with an alcohol soaked cotton ball. It should be gone within five to six hours.
Here are some of the previous comments I cut and pasted from those who voted it as the best answer,

Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, which are found in most acne treatment solutions, are very effective for acne anywhere. For more severe acne, vitamin A derivatives (such as Retinol-A) can be prescribed by a doctor. Some are topical, others are taken orally.
Also make sure to keep the area clean and try to avoid irritating it, which will make the bumps stand out more.

I started getting break-outs on my back from working out at the gym. I started to use Murad's Acne Body Wash. They are now all but faded memories. It is kind of expensive, but for those of us who Proactive does not work, Murad is wonderful.

buy a loofah attached to a wand so that you can exfoliate your back every time you shower
use a medicated body scrub for acne, apply with your loofah(Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub is one)
if you work out, always change out of your gym clothes and shower promptly so that sweat doesn't stay on your back and clog pores

For a natural alternative try rosehip oil mixed with thistle/safflower oil and roman chamomile essential oil. Clears it up and soothes the itching. Better than putting chemical creams on an already irritated skin!

get a body wash i think neutrigena has one. Get a good bath brush to reach all of your back. make sure you dry your back well. Get an astringent like sea breeze or neutrigena, apply and let air dry. Hope that dones the trick!

Um....proactive EATS your skin, people. It MAY work, but when you're like 30 or something, your skin will become REALLY sensitive to sun, and stuff. SO, don't use proactive. And if you do, you might want to stop, or just use it ONLY if it is a REAL emergency.
