bells and whistles on my computer, nor the money or knowledge to add them. I do have a stereo and can transfer the album to tape, if that helps. Does anyone know of a company that can do this? Thanks a bunch!

Since you don't have "bells and whistles on my computer, nor the money or knowledge to add them," it may be easier for you to just download the album from a music site, unless it's something obscure - which places you back here.
I have the capabilities to do this - if interested email me.

It's really not that hard. Here's what I do. I have a CD recorder on my stereo. It lets me record anything that goes through my receiver onto a CD.

I burn each side of the LP as one long "track". I then burn the CD to my computer, and edit the tracks with a program called Cakewalk Pyro. The longest part of the process is recording the LP because it has to be done in "real time".

You could do this yourself with minimal expense, really!

Are you talking about transferring Vinyl Records to CD? If so, there is a stereo system that does it for you, so you can do it at your own convenience. They sell it at different locations (stores/online) but the first one I found was at HAMMACHER SCHLEMMER. Here is the link: http://www.hammacher.com/publish/71860.asp?source=google&keyword=vinyl+to+cd&cm_ven=NewGate&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=Father%27sDay05&cm_ite=vinyl+to+cd&OVMTC=Broad&site=&creative=707224281
