My friend just turned 20. She already has three kids all from the same father. She is now pregnant with twins. Her kids are 2,1,1. Her twins are due on 2-19-07. Her kids birthdays and names are:
Lukis- 3-18-04
DeCota- 1-31-05
Karlee- 12-15-05
Alyie- 2-19-07
Ariana-2-19-07

What do you think about this. She got pregnant for the first time when she was 15 but had a miscarriage.

First of all, she needs to go on birth control. 2 children within a year? Now she is having twins. She really needs to seek help from Planned Parenthood.

She should get her hands on some kind of birth control as soon as this pregnancy is over and slow down before she starts drowning her children in the bathtub from severe post partum depression. Watch her closely during and after this pregnancy, the hormones involved in what you described could literally make her crazy. If she's not married, she should be pushing that direction.

On the other hand she'll still be young when her youngest children move out and she'll be an empty nester long before her golden years. It's probably a better situation than starting at 35+ with the first child and if she's happy, we should all just shut up.

I think I'd be overwelmed at the age of 20! I'm surprised they're all with the same man for someone that young.
How does she do it? How can she afford them all?
I think being pregant at such an early age that maybe she's needing something. And having kids she tries to fill that void in her life. OR maybe she's a very mature 20 year old who just has lots of love and time to give.

I don't see a problem. There are a lot of women who had miscarriages and ended up having full term healthy babies. Just tell your friend to relax and enjoy her pregnancy.

there's nothing wrong with it if she can support them all. some women love having kids and there isn't anything wrong with that. however, if she can barely support them or make ends meet she shouldn't keep having more kids.
