You have to start from the beginning with this story. It all goes back to the Hillsborough Tragedy when The Sun printed outright lies about the events under the headline "The Truth". It claimed that Liverpool fans pickpocketed and molested the dead, were drunk, that they urinated on the police etc. This was total fabrication with the sole source revealed as a senior South Yorkshire police officer who was desparately trying to deflect attention from their incredible inpetitude which had partly caused and certainly led to the death of 96 Liverpool fans, including young children. Now, Kelvin Mackenzie was then editor of The Sun and it was his story - even his colleagues told him it was a bad idea. The Star printed a similar story but immediately apologised. It took until a couple of years ago for The Sun to issue a front page apology in which they stated it was the worst thing they had ever done. Aside from the fact that didn't wash and was partly done to try and recover from the fact that Sun sales in Liverpool are less than 10,000 per day due to the boycott (they used to be over 200,000); Kelvin Mackenzie came out very recently and said that he had nothing to apologise for and that he stuck to the story. So many years on, he is still telling LIES. The reason behind the events on Saturday was that (A) The BBC recently employed Kelvin Mackenzie and they were showing the match live on prime time TV so it was a dig at them and (B) it was obviously a direct attack on Kelvin himself with the mosaic in the Kop reading "The Truth" i.e. for him and The Sun to tell the truth. All this time and we have still not had justice from parts of the media, from the authorities (that is a whole other story), from the South Yorkshire Mass Murderers (South Yorks Police) and until recently from places like Hillsborough who had to be pressured into erecting a memorial to the innocent fans who died from police incompetance. Since the Semi Final when our fans died carried on for 6 minutes, that is why Anfield chanted "Justice for the 96" repeatedly for the first 6 minutes of the game and is why the Kop held up the truth mosaic for the same period. Further action was taken during the match including (1) "Stand up for the 96" chants when we were told to sit down (2) banners, flags, placards being shown whenever possible, especially on corners etc for the TV filming (3) "There's only one lying b'stard" chants amongst other things (4) Thousands of fans wearing Don't Buy The Sun, The Truth Mackenzie etc t-shirts and stickers.

This is just the first part of a multi strand strategy. Kelvin Mackenzie is Chairman of Blue Square Media which is stock market listed. We will be endeavouring to destroy their share price since he is a major shareholder and has just purchased another 400,000 shares for about £70,000 which is on top of over £100k of his own money that he has already invested. We intend to make that a very bad investment for him and hit him in the pocket.

Its been estimated that The Sun and Murdoch have lost £50 million in profits (advertising revenue) due to very few people buying The Sun newspaper in Liverpool over the years - after what that paper wrote after Hillsborough. And fair play to them.

If they said *anything* about Hillsborough the supporters would have protested. Just think about the Boris Johnson thing when Boris didn't actually write a thing about it, but he was hated for it anyway.

They are protesting about an ex sun editor. You can read about it here. Well done for the BBC for showing the protest and the supporters for holding it in a dignified manner:
