Yes, your husband can buy a house or propery only in his name so your credit is not affected in any way. However, this also means you have no legal right to this house or property. So, in the event of a divorce you would have no access, escrow, money, or any ownership of this whatsoever.

Yes, my husband did that because of my credit but make sure after the loan is done you leagally add your name to the title on the house through the county where you live otherwise if somthing happens to him you will have no rights to the house

yes he should be able to but some banks out there only do loans if both the husband and wife are on it together. They ask questions such as are you married? If you say yes they may question why the wife is not going on the loan.
