I'd say further apart. My sister and I both have birthdays in August and growing up because we has birthdays 2 weeks apart we never really got individual parties. They were usually combo parties until I got into highschool and I had my own birthday parties then. Some parents still give their kids great parties with birthdays close together, but mine didn't so I'm partial to birthdays further apart.

My kids are exactly 6 years and 3wks apart but they're bdays are very close together and then I have to deal with the hoildays.Yes having my kids birthdays farther apart would have been good but that just didn't happen.

I think farther apart. They need to be recognized individually. I shared birthday parties with my brother as a kid and I hated it.

It shouldn't matter. My sister and I are 3 days apart and have our Mom make us our favorite birthday cake every year and we get to open presents together. We always were able to do separate things with our friends at other times.

I wouldn't want my kids birthday to be close to each other but sometimes you just can't help it. That is just my thought some people might like it but I know I wouldn't.

eh, either way. just make sure that you individualize the kids, and make them feel unique and special in their own way. if they do share a birthday party, its okay, as long as they each get to choose their own theme, and arent forced to be "as one." its all about the individuality

It sucks to have them close together. If you have any choice in the matter, spread them out.
