the thing that u tune the guitar with after changng the string, u know the thing that u have to turn in order to get the tuning, is just not moving anymore. is there a maximum, or end for this, or shud i just keep turning,..... it wud go the other way, the de-tune way, but not the correct way!

try turning it off and then starting it up again. if you cant get it to work, try to get a tune off of the internet, or if you have a piano, use it to tune to sound. oh, and by the way, guitar strings "stretch" so its going to be out of tune the next couple of times you play. try giving them a gentle tug while tuning them, it helps speed up the stretching. It's up to you. You can change the one string which will sound brighter than the older strings but if the strings were installed recently, changing the one string won't make a big difference. If the strings have been on the instrument for a while, it's probably a good idea to put on a new set.

Yes, it sounds like the gears are stripped inside the tuning key, it's going to have to be replaced!!

I think you should change that tuning machine, and if that one is bad, others are too, so I'd just buy all 6 by Grover or Gotoh or Schaller - check out musiciansfriend.com, they're not expensive.

wow,,,, to weird dude,, that thing is a machine head,,, and maybe the screws holding the machine heads to the head stock ( thats what the machine heads are screwed to)are to tight,, they do wear out too,, especialy cheap ones,,, good luck

it's an endless screw,

try to detune a little and retune, force a little but not too much

never had that prob. with my guitar. I would take it to your local instrument shop and get it looked at.
