Probably not. Foundation is to get other make-up to stick to your face, so it doesn't come off so easily. Make-up is for the stage so that people who are in the last row can see your face. Make-up's intended purpose is for older women. For example, my mom's eyelashes aren't black, they are kind of grey, so when she puts on mascara, they are black. When you get older, your lips get more pale, so lipstick makes your lips look younger.

Anyway, foundation is also used to cover zits. It doesn't help the zits go away (in some cases, it makes it worse), so it is best not to wear any.

God no.

Because at the age of 16 you have a fresh and beautiful skin and you don't need to cover it up with foundation. Besides, do you know what it will do to your skin in a long-term of using it? You will need to have a beautiful skin through out your life, you want permanent beauty, don't you? If you start using foundation so early your skin won't be as good and as fresh when you rich you twenties. I'm not sure if that's what you want.

At the age of 16 your skin is beautiful enough to carry you through your days. Why damage it by wearing foundation?

Good Luck! :)

They can, but I would hold out. If you have just a few spots you want to hide then try a medicated, tinted concealer. For under the eye circles, use a concealer as well. If you want to improve your over all tone then a tinted moisturizer is GREAT! I personally use Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisuturizer with SPF 15. This product is great, giving me just the little bit of cover I wanted while at the same time moisturizing and protecting my face! I would start with the products I mentioned above before jumping to a foundation.

I think it's perfectly fine. And for all of you talking about skin problems, that should not happen if every day when you get home, wash your face immediately to get pollutants from the air from your skin. Use a facial cleanser with a makeup remover, such as Clean&Clear Makeup Removing Cleanser; it's gentle enough to leave your face clean and fresh. You may also want to use a toner to defeat and prevent acne or the occasional pimple, such as Neutrogena Clean Pore Skin-Controlling Astringent. As for a good foundation, try CoverGirl Clean Makeup; it controls oil for healthy skin and will not clog pores. And also for healthy skin, find a good peel masque for once a week or so. I use got2B IN YOUR FACE Groovy Peelin peel masque. (That company has the longest and oddest product names.) With cucumber, chamomile and mango extracts, this masque exfoliates, clarifies and tones your skin.

I think if your skin is clear enough that a 16 yr old should wear a little blush, mascara and some clear gloss or maybe a light colored gloss. You should prolong foundation as long as possible so that your skin doesn't get accustomed to it.

Natural is best.

I think you should talk to your mom, it depends on how she feel about it, for me i think 16 is a good age. if you do want some coverage try MaryKay tinted moisturizer. Just do me a favor and Stay away from target and walmart stuff, its so bad for your skin. also if you do wear a foundation make sure that you wash it off every night so your skin can breath.

I think it's OK for them to wear foundation, as long as they are taught to wear it correctly. I started wearing makeup at 15 but I didn't get into the foundation and other 'heavy' stuff until I was in my 20's.

I'd recommend trying Neutrogena Tinted Moisturizer. It covers up imperfections, is much lighter than foundation, and doesn't clog pores. My face actually feels more refreshed when I'm wearing it than when I'm not!

Too young to wear a mask. I do not think is necessary. Usually 16 years old have such beautiful complexion that all they need for special occasions is eyeliner and lip gloss.
