It's great. I wouldn't change a thing. I love the fact that I have very pale skin, and blue eyes. I don't ever tan and I always protect it. I have a mixture of cultures Cajun, Creole, Irish, American Indian, and German but my physical features are only white. My mother and two of my siblings are darker and could pass for bi-racial people or Mexicans. If I had those features I'd be happy with those.
Being white has it's advantages as well as disadvantages. Some people automatically assume that you're wealthy or racist and neither are the case. I haven't had an easy life as well, I grew up in the projects and lived on public assistance for awhile. I feel offended when I hear people talk about the white man has it so good or the white man has every advantage. I had to drop out of college because I couldn't get assistance, so I had to go to work to support my daughter. That's okay, it's a choice I made. I did get to finish with a lower degree while working. I will get an upper level degree after my daughter gets her college degree. I also get offended when people refer to whites as the sterotypical "rednecks" as ignorant, backward, toothless, barefoot, trailer trash, and dirty people who have no goals in life. I am none of those things. I am a decent girl who works hard to get what she's got and hopes for a better life for her children. I also hope that for all people not just whites. Happy New Year.

I have been through some racist crap over the years that I am sure most of the people with my skin tone could never endure.I have been called everything bad, that seems to me could ever be said, only because of my skin tone. The thing is I'm what is considered a mutt.My family has more colors in it than mixed candy.I have I guess white skin, even though I am darker than most.My family is considered to be white by those standards that are used for census.

You mean what is it like to be the most persecuted living thing on the planet! Yes it is the white man! Nobody but white people like white people! LOL It's true! To the middle east we are Satan to blacks we are racist to Asian we are dishonorable and so on! But these are all stereo types and I for one do not fall into that category and I never want to!

Well you have to watch everything you say or risk being labeled a racist? I don't care if people think I'm racist or not I still will speak the truth. You get to see lesser qualified minorities get promoted because companies have to have a certain percentage of minorities in certain positions regardless of qualifications. You get to see places like DeKalb county Georgia that is totally run by blacks use racist policies to only hire other blacks and nobody sues them. We wont even get into the amount of crime perpetuated against whites by minorities just because they are white and never see hate crime legislation enacted. Most of the other things on the downside have been posted above. On the plus side we are expected to act in a higher ethical standard and I always try to do that.

You could say that white people aren't much different than blacks, asians, portoricans, ect. Its just a skin color. Race shouldn't matter as long as people respect you for whou YOU are.White people are always know for being big buizness leaders and rich and smart... but not all the time. Being white doesn't make you very different than anyone else.

Wow, great question. To be White means one has to be cautious when they spend prolonged periods of time in the sun.
The White hoodlums have to use dark grease paint on their faces before they maneuver through the dark attempting to boost cars.
The White ladies have to inject silicone into their lips to make them larger.
The White men have to play in the band since they really cannot dance.
As you can readily discern, it is not really easy being white.

Well....this is a bit cheeky but here goes....
1) I can't go into the sun too long without some serious sunblock. I can't tan....yeah, that white. Casper flies by my house and complains about the glare.
2) I have people say racist stuff to me and then object when I tell them they are full of it because I can't be discriminated against....yeah sure. Reverse racism is still racism.
3) I've been accused of being the "man" even though I'm not rich and put MYSELF through school. I wasn't chauffered to school by my butler. I drove POS cars until I got my first real job. I sold my plasma for money because I was poor and wanted to eat. I am not "white trash" because I was poor...
4) When I walk into a room, I don't get the "whatsup" head nod from other white folks. We don't have a racial identity or empathy for our white race. Too busy stealing it from others...lol. I'm not allowed to root for white players in sports for the betterment of the community...lol. There's no United Whitie McWhitovich College fund...oh well. I understand why there isn't.
5) I hate watching white people dance. It's so bad it's laughable. I can't dance either, other than the lamest of the lame dances. There are exceptions, but for the most part, yuck. As a musician, I hate it when anyone doesn't follow the beat.
6) I have good credit. My mom didn't jack my credit. I pay my bills before they are due. I'm currently starting to file my taxes. I don't make enough money, but everything is currently paid up to date.
7) I get stared at when my wife and I go out, because she's black. White people who are obviously racist look at me like I'm crazy. Black people who are racist look at her like she sold out the black people single handedly and then look at me like I stole her. Contrary again to common white people stereotypes, I will NOT let my kids swear at me and act a fool in public. I will spank them in public, if necessary, and will not let anyone tell me otherwise. There's a difference between discipline and child abuse. Many white people think that spanking is child abuse because they were brainwashed by the neo-hippy psychology movement in the 70's and 80's.
8) I hear white people say racist crap, I call them on it. Then they slink away because they know I'm not the "man"....but I am a man. KKK people only come out in numbers because they are bullies.
9) I never get accused of being a "boater" or an "illegal"....which is nice, I guess....
10) I listen to all types of music without being labeled a "sell out". Music doesn't have colors, that's stupid for anyone to say. I've heard about white people objecting to other white people listening to hip hop and rap, but I don't have any racist friends. Don't touch my radio...
I can't have 10 because David Letterman threatened to sue me for copyright infringment because he's the man.
sooooo.....
11) I get the blues. I get Jimi Hendrix. I feel music in my bones, in my soul...I'm a guitar player who expresses himself, but yet I'm told by mass media that I have no soul and don't understand the blues. Just more lies.
Take Care,
B

From a strictly physical perspective- the only difference is that we have to wear lots of sunscreen in the summer because we burn much easier that our Black and Latino friends.
From a social perspective- there is often some pressure on us to be politically correct so that people won't think we're racist. There is also incentive to learn about other people's cultures so that we can be open-minded.
From a historical perspective- I often feel guilty about the way my race treated the Native Americans and Black people. It sometimes makes me ashamed to be White.

To be completly honest, its over rated. I mean, look at our history. Salem witch hunt, slavery, WW2, killing and stealing the natives land (I live in Canada where it is a major issue), and a whole bunch of other terrible things. I'm not saying that were evil that race even matters, however we white people have some serious *** kissing to do.
