I was trying to clean up my computer and removed all of my file extensions.I had a backup on my registry cleaner but now I can't even access that.Can't even access registry editor.is there any hope?I know I am an Idiot thats why I need help.any help much appreciated..

I don't think you removed them... may be you just went to the properties and checked on the tab 'don't show file extensions'

Just go back and check that tab. Your file extensions should be back. Don't worry.

Precedure:

Go to the drive you are worried about:

go to Folder options in Tools.

Go to View tab

Uncheck the 'hide extensions tab'
I think that should solve your problem.

Looks like a fresh windows install to me! Maybe a does and donts computer course to boot! You sound like my neighbor! I wish to God I had never got him started on a PC! He goes in there and moves files, deletes chit he doesnt know, visits porn sites, and everything under the sun he shouldnt! 2 weeks goes by and hes got it all trashed again and full of malware! Sometimes I think there should be a law stating that you need a computer and intenet course before you are able to buy your first PC!

I agree with "That's me". But if they are gone, you may be able to restore. If not then you will have to reformat.
