I was training in a form of martial arts that I was getting really good at and I was happy about it... It happend that I had to move from the country I was in and when I got to the country that I am right now I found out that, that form of martial arts that I was getting good at is illigal in the country I am in now, so I had to join another form... because of my backgraound in the previous form I have become very very good in my new form and my coach even lets me to teach some of his classes now... never give up hope ... perhaps there is something better waiting for you, you just need to look for it... You might even be able to teach your dance to others in the place you're going to ..

Well, I have to agree that you need to work on your presentation. Professional dancers not only work on their art, but also presentation. Only once do you get to make a first impression. But as to your problem, why not talk to your current dance instructor to see if he/she can recommend a school? If one is not available in the immediate area, perhaps there is one in a neighboring town you could attend. Also, there are tons of instructional DVDs. It is not the same as a formal class, but it should help to keep you in shape. Or you could talk to your instructor about recording some classes that you could use when you move, maybe even strike up a deal to record future classes and have them mailed to you - for a fee of course (you can't expect free classes and you should cover the cost of the postage and any other expenses such as tapes or DVDs). You could also find out if someone in your new school is into that type of dance and would want to rehearse with you.
Good luck! I hope this helps.

It's never wasted. Technique is technique. I've known gymnasts who've gone into dance.
You will have to change the type of dancing you do -- perhaps shetland dancing will be perfect for you, maybe you'll try tap or clogging. Who knows?
Once a dancer, always a dancer -- no way is your life well and truly over.

Perhaps you should ask your parents to consider boarding school. Lots of teenagers who live in the Islands do go away to school and if you are good you should be able to get some kind of scholarship. If that isn't possible then don't give up, try a different kind of dancing, just to keep you going and look out for other opportunities

well if you cant dance, then work on your grammar. your life really will be over if dancing is all you have to offer. you'll be worth more if you can dance and have a brain.
