what does clear cache do exactly?

will I lose my favorited sites or what will I lose if I do this?

Clearing the cache just removes cookies and temporary internet files from your computer. You won't loose anything.. This is actually something that you should do on a weekly basis to keep your computer running well.

it clears all the web pages you have visited and other private details also clear out you web history and cookies
