yes, if you apply for anything jointly. I had the same situation when I married my ex back in '96. His credit was OUTSTANDING and mine sucked. for the entire 12yrs we were together, my name was on NOTHING that required credit reports or went off credit scores. All the vehicles, house, loans, everything in his name. I wasn't even listed as the beneficiary in his life insurance because I didn't want anything taken from our kids should something happen to him. He took out various auto loans over the years and I made the payments, but it was in HIS name. Thus, his credit now is at the very top of the charts. The only thing currently in both our names is another vehicle, but I'm only on as the co-signer, tho I'm the one who drives it and makes the payments.
And I will soon be remarrying and my fiance is building his credit and I won't be on any of his stuff, either.

No, my bankruptcy did not reflect on my new husbands credit. Unless you are trying to get a loan or credit card together, it should not influence his credit rating in the least.

It would only reflect if yall were trying to buy something together. If your husband puts everything in his name only then no your credit won't even be an issue.

I believe that every individuals credit rating is now individual. You should get in touch with a credit bureau and ask so you can get the info straight from the horse's mouth.

Not unless you attempt to apply for something jointly. He may get turned down because of your history.
