Why does he have the black thing around his neck, it doesn't show the feet when the trap door opens. I believe it may be fake.

Saddam was convicted of a crime that equals that of Hitler's crime against humanity in many aspects.
In a world view it would be a mistake to "stage" such a event.
Televission and video can often feel "unreal" and appear "staged" in the formality of an execution. Herein you must view the event for yourself and yet it is hard to do so in a world of media in various non-tangible and tangible forms.
If you took it from my perspective the question becomes more understandible. I am a Christian. I believe Jesus died for ous sins by crucifiction on the Cross. Yet, we have no video, no photographic proof, but we do have the Lord's Word. And John 3;16 is all I need to here to believe that.
We could fight over whether Saddam was hanged staged or not, but in the end death was his outcome for the brutality of his rule against a peacefull people torn by other afflictions he brought to Iraq.

no I don't think that this was staged at all the crappy quality of the video assures that you couldn't make a video that bad on purpose. the black thing around his neck could be there for a couple of reasons but it is probably there to soak up any blood, the reason that I know that this wasn't staged is they arrested the guy who made the video in the first place because he was taunting him and made the tape without anyone's consent, with the way things are in Iraq the guy who made the video will probably be hanging there by next week
