Believe it or not, it would probably be in another country that is as democratic (if not more) than here in the USA... our friends, and neighbors that cherish civil freedoms, liberties and rights as we do... Canada!

Many people today are against the UN simply because some of our gung-ho "cowboy" and "redneck" and "yokels" think they know more than the rest of the world and would like to dictate and police the world... so they can also make money off of the rest of the world... they resent the idea that others may have a differing view of things... Imagine, we're supposed to live in a democracy yet some of those who called themselves partriots are willing to barter our Constitutional rights, freedoms and liberties and deny others the same rights, freedoms and liberties... and to govern themselves and formulate their own toughts, ideas and arrive at their own conclusions... I guess they would prefer it if the world was based on the supposed "utopian" society of Orwell's "1984." Let's hope common sense and reason prevails in the UN as well as in this great nation of ours.

No. It was the Utopian brain-child of President Woodrow Wilson. He was the driving force for the "League of Nations" after World War One.
It was a Utopian dream then and so was its successor organization the United Nations. With or without the USA it is a largely ineffective at solving any of the worlds problems or disputes. Why? Because it is a collection of too many different agendas, alliances and cultures which cannot agree on a common defintion of poverty, genocide, terrorism, right and wrong and good and evil. HOpefully it will die one day of its own accord.

Well technically, no, because the US started the UN after WWII. But as of today would it still be a "functioning" body, then no, it wouldn't be worth the pens they use to write "sanctions" with.

It needs to die if they don't start doing something. It's become worthless now. Without America, it would never have been implemented.
