If you have it when you are a young teenager, can it stunt your brain developement making you less intelligent when you grow up?

I know I have asked alot of similar quuestions but I have my reasons.

yes, if your body doesn't have sufficient nutrients it will not grow effectively. If you don't have enough protein your body cannot make new cells and will keep everything mainly for repairing the naturally dying cells first so don't be stupid and eat.

I don't think so because the physical part of your brain is formed when you are much younger.

If you didn't get enough nutrition as a baby or a child, then yes, it could have an impact on your intelligence. But I don't think it could make you less intelligent or stunt your brain if you were anorexic as a teenager.

However, if you don't get enough nutrition at any stage of your life, it can impede your brain's ability to function. But it won't diminish your IQ.

That's just what I think. I'm not a doctor.

its probably not good for your brain. but i can't say for sure. anytime your body is seriously deprived when you are young, it can have long lasting effects. a teenager is probably not young enough to have to worry that much about stunted brain development. any stunting will probably be made up for later, if you decide to actually eat enough food

Claudia, i'm startin to become slightly worried about u coz u do ask a lot of things about this sort of thing. ive got sum problems and stuf and i can say they dnt seem to be stunting my height growth generally, i am quite short but thats coz my mum and dad are so short.ive been at it for 3 years now and it dnt seem to hav effected me much.

yes because you deprive your body of essential nutrients. if your body does not have those nutrients it cannot grow or develop properly.
