Well my parents say ppl with my name don't go far in life as far as carrier is concerned,well i said i never believed in such things,but they have easily stated me examples of names n happnings that follows in there lives(which shockingly is sm what same with for name's)......n now they wanna change my name but i feel my self with my name,its as if it suites my nature n personality but effects non of both........plz ne suggestions

No but it does reflect theirs. Another thing to consider is the lineal significance of your name. If you were named for your ancestors do you really want to disown that heritage by changing your name? This was my case when i was your age. I HATED my name until my parents told me more about it, who I was named after and why, the historical significance of it, and more. That really changed my mind about the whole thing.
I'd suggest having a conversation with your folks first to learn more about the whole thing. Then go ahead after that if you still feel you should.

well....it depends....that is what they want us to be....they expect us to be what our name means...so it does reflect a little if you are under that kind of education under your parents teaching...but some people just live up their own personality with their own style though....anyway that is only my opinion...cheers...

i believe a name is a label. if you change yours make it very unique. i feel that really expensive and unusual name get more exposure.
