As for a standard bar, I think most muscle heads would consider this to be yor five foot bar typically used for home gyms. An olympic bar is seven feet long with much thicker ends for accepting plates of the larger variety ranging from 5 to 45 lbs typically. These are "standard equipment" at all real gyms.
