I don't think I would do that. Who knows what the long term genetic effects would be on future generations.

1. 5"10-6"2(anything taller than that would be weird BC I'm super short) 2. I don't really care as long as they aren't super huge or a toothpick 3. A little tan(definitely tanner than me though) but not super dark 4. Blue/green eyes(but some guys can rock brown eyes) and deep set(not squinty) eyes 5. Light-medium brown hair that's on the short side and goes up(doesn't flop in his face) 6. I love smart guys that can actually have an intelligent conversation with me, but I hate when guys are super loud. I want a guy who can joke around with me but is still a gentleman. But I don't care if a guy is freaking perfect; if he pressures me into anything, hes gone.

[Unborn child? I thought that was anti-abortion code for "fetus" ... you're talking about a future child, who hasn't yet been conceived. Anyway, that's a tangent. I guess you just weren't aware of the idiom]
I wouldn't. It'd be tempting to my ego, but I think it would be so outrageously vain that I'd be disgusted by it every time I looked at the lovely child and knew that his/her appearance was an expression of my lower desires. A child is not a vanity project. I would hate my parents for it if they'd chosen my characteristics.

I would absolutely not choose to do this. If you choose to reproduce then you should also be prepared to unconditionally love and care for the child that you are given regardless of any disabilities, disorders or other qualities your child might be born with. This is the chance you take and should not be something you are so afraid of that you would tamper with the natural order of things. It just might be your destiny to realize you are meant to love and care for just the special child that God chose to give to you without your allowing science to intervene. I absolutely do not believe in this.

Isn't that a tempting thought. Very tempting. But, I prefer to let nature run its course for a nice suprise and let the child go unnatural later in life (seeing is that's what usually happens anyway). Gotta let them have some fun when they grow up.
Seriously, I think messing with life in that state would be dangerous and asking for trouble.

No kids in my future; but in any case, I'd rather select for good health -- my family has a history of heart disease and if it were possible, I would choose those genetic characteristics that might help my child avoid that.
I suspect that such parental selection may become more widespread in the coming decades. People want to live longer and healthier, and they want the same for their children and their children's children.

No actually it is not tempering with nature... I have a friend who was genetically enhanced and was picked by his parents ... he is now everything they asked for... he is tall, good at every sport you could think of, and also straight As in school, he has no flows... and that I believe is amazing... why shouldn't we use what we have in our reach to improve ourselves?

Not in the early stages of the tehcnology, but after it was perfected, I would choose "health" not little things like eye color.

Well, it all depends. I, personally wouldn't. I do think its messing with nature. But there are some people who would. We should respect and treasure what we have. Its a good question. :)
