Its about 12 inches long and one of the links broke.. It's pure white gold with no papers and its very thin. I'm going to pawn it in S. Lake Tahoe Nevada. How much should it sell for? I don't want to get ripped off

sorry to disillusion you, but you will be very dissapointed with the pawn price for your white gold chain, white gold is less valuable than Real Gold, pawn price is less than sell price, the price you get will be dependant on how much the pawn broker thinks he can sell it for, because this is where the profit for him is.
Pawn is a loan, but they know you probably won't "Bail it out" later, so they give you a small amount and tell you it costs less this way for you to redeem it, knowing you will forget about it before the 1 year

twelve inches is a child's length chain. 16 inches is the starting point for an adult (lady). Very thin and broken isn't worth much. If this were brand new in a store and 14k gold, it would sell for maybe $50. In my opinion this sounds worthless.

Gold is sold by weight. If it's very thin, you'll likely get 15-20 bucks for it...maybe. Also, depends on what karat gold it is. This assumes it's 14k.
