I honestly try not to let my kids watch ANY movie that I have not seen first unless it has a "G" rating. That being said, I have and will continue to allow to let my chilldren watch some "R" rated movies- that I have deemed acceptable in my point of view. But my daughter understands that any violence that she sees twards humans/animals is all fake. For example, when the my daughter saw the movie "Deep Blue Sea" with the killer sharks in it... she didn't mind that the humans were being killed--- she minded and bawled her eyes out when the sharks all died... go figure... p.s. she was 6 or 7 at the time when she saw this

yes i think it's pointless to see a rated "R" movie when the person is not the right age to see it.

ratings are just ratings if they are mature enough not to get nightmares or whatever then id say let them watch the movie

it all depends on the movie. i say let them watch. they probably see worse things in school anyway.

I try not to, but my daughter loves Die Hard so much
