Any of the Protists can compete for this category with asexual/sexual generations. Bacteria and other pathogens multiply with amazing speed and reach trillions within days...but my best guess would be Staphlococcus aureus.

A bacteria, or some sort of micro organism. They propagate exponentially. 1 cell begets 2 cells that beget 4 cells that beget 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 and so on. What ever is the fastest dividing cell ever is probably the winner here although it must have enough nutrients and the correct enviornmental conditions. With out these factors they wont survive enough.
I'd go with Frank's answer here.

Only a hunch, but I would guess either a humped back whale, a tortoise, or - more likely - an insect of some sort, as their breeding patterns are very frequent - a fruitfly for example, but that depends on whether they live long enough to co-exist with their offspring and their subsequent offspring? Tough one this, I shall watch with interest.
