Girl, you are lucky that you even got them in. I have had contacts for about two months now and still cant get them in. I dont think it will continue to hurt though. You will eventually get use to it. Good luck.

do you have hard or soft contact lenses? if you have soft ones, they shouldn't hurt AT ALL. if you have the hard ones, they do take a little getting used to, but yeah, they did hurt for me, (and i actually never got used to the pain, so i switched to soft ones, and i love them now.) i'm not sure why the solution would be painful. but if nothing else, after you've washed them w/ the solution, rinse them w/ artificial tears to rinse off the solution. artificial tears shouldn't hurt at all, by the way, since they're just like real tears.

SOFT contacts aren't supposed to hurt. you have them in wrong or you are putting them in the wrong eyes. to make sure you're not putting them in wrong, put one on your fingertip and hold it up to eye level. if the edges look like they are curling, then you need to turn them inside out.
if your solution burns, get some different stuff. i would tell your eye doctor about this though. there could be a problem with the contacts.

I wear contacts and I have gotten completely used to them. They dont hurt at all. When I first got them I got so discouraged because it hurt and they felt so dry, but you get used to them pretty quick and sometimes you even forget that you are wearing them! Good Luck! And don't give up, because I almost did and now I am sooooo glad that I didnt!

Do you have hard contacts or soft? Don't know about hard but with soft contacts in the beinning you just feel like there is something in your eye when you put them in but that goes away. After some time you can't even feel that you put anything in your eye. It feels the same with or without contacts.

they shouldn't hurt at all. you shouldn't be able to tell that you even have them in. it's possible that you may have them on inside out. when that happens, it is very irritating and you're forced to take them out. try that and if that doesn't help, i'd go back to the ophthalmologist.

Yeah better not put them on - try using a pair of spectacles. It won't hurt at all.
You may go blind if you keep poking you eyes. If you want to numb your eyes just press hard.
