Check collegeboard.com for school you may be interested in; they will show the median score for accepted students.
U of I may be a stretch (half of its freshman class ranked in the top 10% of its high school class, and 3.5 generally doesn't cut it), but other state schools (Northern, Southern, State, etc.) are achievable. Many privates (not Northwestern of U of Chicago) as well.

I don't know about the ACT score but with a 3.6 GPA I would think you could get in to almost any university in the country. a 4.0 is a perfect GPA you are only 4 thnths or a point short of that. If I were you I would apply to the University of Illinois.

I don't know the ACT, but the GPA should get you into pretty much any school you want, as long as the rest of your application causes no trouble. A 3.5 from a reasonably good high school should mean you can handle anything.
