Ive had an idea. driving ranges are popular, right? lots of peaple work in offices in town and bored husbands follow their wives around in town. how about a indoor driving range or golf nets in a town centre location. this would be to suit people on lunch breaks or half hour tospare while wife buys new shoes. thoughts please.

Look up rental costs per sq. ft. in the Town Centre & add rates etc. You need a very large open area (or maybe a large roof).

Then calculate what you could charge & how many customers you might get ... to be honest I doubt the figues pan out - if they did we would see this already.

You can't use a basement car part (too many pillars ect) - but for comparison you could look at Town Center Car Parks (not many of those, either)

Don't forget you have to pay rental 24 x 7 but if you target 'lunch time' customers your revenue is focussed on maybe a couple of hours a day M-F ...

too much of a niche. indoor facililty will be expensive. most in downtown who have $$ belong to suburban CCs with nice ranges. part of the fun of hitting balls at a range is getting outside to do something imo. i have not seen many successful ranges as stand alone not attached to a golf facility. i think you better be careful. golf is a brutal business. it is not growing, just a market share grab.
