I have a nokia phone.. and im looking just to get a OZ sim card for it. but its only a dual band will that still work?

If your phone is from the UK or Europe then Dual band means the 900 and 1800 band which is the same band as Australia.

it just needs to have the correct bands. if you are using a quad band phone it will work, id its just dual which you really dont find in the us anymore and you are from the uk it prolly will.

nost of the time you need to tell the provider to turn on international roaming so you can make calls outside of where you usually are, but its usually really pricey.

A dual band should work as long as its GSM. I'd double check with your provider. Part of it is working. Part of it will be the costs you'll be charged using it. If you don't have a full global plan, you may want to double check the plans and costs.

I just went and i asked the people at Verizon if i could bring my mototola to AUS, but they said no you have to order a phone that works in Australia. So they ordered me a phone and i took it to Australia.
