We are planning a trip to Disney World sometime next year. It will be my husband and I, our 2 boys, and my mother-in-law. We will probably be going at Easter or in the summer as my mother-in-law isn't able to take time off of work(teacher). It looks as those are the peak season. We are on a budget and we are not able to stay in one room at the value resorts because they have a four person limit. We thought about renting two rooms at a value resort or renting one room at the Animal Kingdom lodge for about the same price. Which one would you do. Or does anyone have any different suggestions. Thanks!

SURE, DO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE DOES...TELL THEM YOU HAVE A PARTY OF FOUR AND THEN SNEAK THE EXTRA ONE IN....................AND DON'T LET THE KIDS HEAR YOU TELL THEM, KIDS HAVE BIG MOUTHS AND MAY SAY SOMETHING..IF YOU'RE GOING AT PEAK TIME, BE PREPARED FOR HOURS OF WAITING TIME ON RIDES - AND I DO MEAN HOURS.

I recommend you guys stay off Disney property - but nearby. The Best Western Lakeside is a wonderful resort with ajoining rooms. They are located about 3 minutes from the Disney World parks, have several beautiful pools, a nice restaurant, friendly staff, clean/nice rooms, and even a miniature golf course. Its also just down the street from one of Orlando's most original and best restaurant, "Houlihans." This hotel is located on the 192 Hwy in Kissimmee and comes highly recommended.
Another good choice is the Sheraton Safari Resort, located on Apolpka Vineland Rd. in Lake Buena Vista - just across the street from Downtown Disney. Their rates are a bit higher than the Lakeside's, but it is a fun resort for guests traveling with children.

If you have a choice between Easter and the summer, I recommend you go in the spring. Spring break is different for schools all over the nation. The odds of you hitting heavy crowd flow are much less in April and May than they are in the summer when virtually everyone is out of school and on summer vacation. June and July are the heaviest months, so avoid those, if possible. Late April and even early May are a great time to go - just avoid weekends and only visit the parks on a weekday.

To save money on tickets, order yours from AAA, Costco, or Sam's Club (if you have a membership) or at your local Disney Store for a small discount.

There are so many hotels and the prices vary widely, but leave the city limits and you will find excellent service, great rooms, and you will be able to afford two rooms, one for your mother-in-law and the children and one for you and hubby. There is a hotel across from Sea World, I think it is a "Knight's Inn" that I stayed at with my Mom and Twin and the service was great, really affordable, and has a fantastic view. I grew up in Floridaa, have been there several times, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Great Luck to ya.

We always rent a house when we go. You would be surprised at how affordable it is and you don't have to share the pool with anyone else! No noise, your own bedrooms, kitchen and multiple bathrooms, need I say more? Do a little hunting on the internet. I think we went with Villas direct and have always been happy. Good luck and have a blast at Disney.

You have not said how many days you are staying. Regardless I would recommend contacting local resorts and request a "tour package" which also comes with a 90 minute presentation of timeshare. You can have 4 days and 3 nights with additional days extra etc. Check what they have to offer make your mind and enjoy your vacations. Ask for a two bedroom villas which sleep six. Some of then also come with breakfast.
