nirvana is not my fave just figured they were more popular. so yeah. but my faves are stone temple pilots, pearl jam and alice in chains.

Alice In Chains. Nirvana might have been more popular, but Alice In Chains was the best. Soundgarden was pretty good too. How about Mother Love Bone? Pearl Jam wouldn't be without them.

I never really called them "grunge" but I did like a lot of bands that emerged around this time. For your question I would have to say "Black" by Pearl Jam and "No Excuses" by Alice In Chains. I like both bands equally, so I am afraid I cannot pick only one, sorry. Also, I listened to Nirvana, STP and Soundgarden a lot. Too bad only Pearl Jam basically remains of these groups, just minor changes.
