Mules are almost always sterile. However, this fact does not keep a male mule from wanting to breed. They still have the desire. Male mules are quite often castrated because this helps them to be more managable. Mules can, on rare occasions, be fertile. If you want to REALLY get confused, read the link about hinnys!

Yes they have sex; however, only on extremely rare occasions has an offspring been born. The rare offsprings thusfar(as far as I know) have never produced an offspring.
An interesting modern question would be can they be a fertilized-egg injected surrogate parent?
Another question, could modern medicenes commonly used to enhance the percentages of pregnancies be used to increase the chances of a mule being a parent?

Yes they are mammals all mammals have sex and it is with other mules unless the mule has a fetish and then he does it with other animals or things.

No they can't have sex. They are a hybrid of Male donkey And Female Horse & are sterile i.e they cannot produce their offspring.
So, being sterile there is no possiblity of having sex.
