Try Esc it might help! Otherwise i guess you'll just have to contact an IT professional or Dell. Or try and guess the password (try 'password', you'd be amazed how many people leave it as that)

Turn your computer off by pressing the power button then turn it back on. Then press F8 and select Safe Mode and when the logon screen comes up type Administrator you can delete the friend`s password by going to Start>Settings>Control Panel>User Acounts and find their Acount and click delete Password Then restart your Computer and when the logon Screen appers clik ok or press enter (Their is no Password)

switch off then switch on again whilst pressing F10 (recovery). This will restore your computer to the original factory settings, ie to when it was new. It takes about half an hour to complete but is very straight forward. Good luck

I would call dell (you might have to wait til monday, but give it a try) and tell them the situation. they should be able to help you.

if you have the restore disks you can restore your pc to original factory settings. if you dont have them you can find them online. just get your model number and do a search, download them to a pc and put it on a cd

There are commercial utilities that can do it (sorry, can't recall the name at the moment).
