You say Women only, but as a male, I think women work far harder than any man could ever do. Work does not finish when they leave the office, or wherever they are working. They wash, cook, clean, are mothers, wives, nurses, comforters. If you actually got paid for all a woman does, she would be a multi-millionairre.

Yes and No. It depends on their abilities mostly. My sister once took an electronic course where there were mostly all guys. She went to night classes with my father. She was the top in her class and she beat all the guys.

My dad told me this. I thought it was pretty cool. Now someone like my self I don't think I could top that because that's not my area or interest. Mainly because math and science weren't my favorite subjects and I am not all that great in them.

I can remember one time my math teacher told me I couldn't get passed basic math and that challeged me to go back to night school and do it. I did and the highest mark I could achieve was a C. I only did that to prove to my self that I could do my best and that my math teacher was wrong that I couldn't go beyond basic math.

I can remember while being in the armed forces long ago that this one girl shot pretty well with a rifle. She could have been one of charlies angels because her ability looked almost like the opening from that show. The guys certainly thought she looked pretty cool too.

I did try out a lot of things but I realize that I have my limitations mainly because I lose interest in things quickly. I have a short attention span when it comes to certain things.

I guess I am not really big on trying to be better then a guy because I see us all as individuals that have different gifts no matter what our gender is. I also see that the type of talents and gifts I have will be different from a person of either sex mainly because I know that there are a number of things I just couldn't compete with when it comes to others.

I also agree with the points that Bonzai Betty and Who Knew! made.

I don't completely agree with bja_faithandmisery because I don't think that was a fair comment about just females.

Males and Females can both be slackers and also if parents don't encourage their kids to excel or back them up then yeah they could be lazy. I have met a number of guys who slack off and they could care a less about how others feel about that.

Usually it's by parents who give kids like that good pat on the back and think their kids are oh so wonderful when they don't know the hidden truth.

Lol. I think the discrimination against women in this millenium is out the window. You have women security guards and police officers and theyre meaner then the men because they have more to prove with them being a woman. I see women constuction workers and women fire fighters. Some women are just old fashioned following in the footsteps of there moms staying at home with the kids, cleaning, and cooking and some women would whether do sit down jobs like being a secretary rather then getting their hands dirty so they choose easy jobs. A women can work just as hard as men if not harder most of them just choose not too.

Go make some new friends. Can a black man like bubble gum music from 60's and 70's? Can he be a CPA? Or passionately study Norse mythology? Hate rap music? Watch NASCAR? Speak in perfect diction, and be fluent in foreign languages? Make a million dollars and not be a criminal, an entertainer or a sports figure? Black men and woman are expected to act a certain way. They are bound by stereotypes and ignorance. They are not free to be what ever they want to be and in some ways just as much in the closet as gays. They are almost never seen as individuals but part of "them" and "those people." The real shocker is most black families and most white families are for all practical purposes the same except for the constant pernicious burden of others pre-judgments. That and the paranoia of never being sure of any white person, are they being kind or setting you up? Are they unaware or cruelly insensitive? Are you being treated fairly or secretly the target of their worst fears and anger?

I'm not trying to anger anyone, but i am a bit hesitant to be protected from a female security guard-men have muscles for a reason.maybe I'm old fashioned, but i like men to protect me when i need it the most-now don't get me wrong,I'm no bad-***, but i am known as being intimidating, but women can and DO work harder than men....how the hell would men even know the meaning of multi-tasking if it weren't for women?

It'll be funny to see the responses from all the males, even though you posted women only. I believe women can work as hard as, or harder than men, depends on the individual. Studies show we have much higher endurance levels and higher pain tolerance (explains putting up with men). I also believe that some women don't work hard, just like some men.

Bottom line: yes, women CAN work harder than men, and sometimes we choose not to! :)

I think I work harder every day; shopping, cooking, paying the bills... but my husband does 'big jobs' like mowing the lawn, taking out the trash, car maintenance.

So to speak from my perspective, I work hard every day and he works hard for a few hours every week or so.

Unbalanced? Maybe..but that's what works for us. Sometimes I get angry or resentful and yell at bit, but when he's outta town, I realize how much he actually does.

Certain women can work harder than certain men, but I would not say that women work harder than men in general.
