Up until recently, my WiFi connection was available to the various people I allowed to use it. Now, whether I choose to encrypt or not, no other wireless user can connect. They can see the router, but when they try to connect it sticks on "trying to connect". When I have the router WEP enabled, the wireless user can see the connection but when they try to connect it doesn't even ask them for the WEP code. I've tried this on three different PCs with 3 different wireless modems and on different channels all with no success. I wouldn't mind but, as I said, it used to work!

Any help would be appreciated. The wireless router is a LinkSys Wireless-G ADSL gateway, model #WAG54GS ver 1.1.

Thanks,

Alan

Linksys has great technical support. They also have an automated system for adding additional computers. Call them.

reboot the router to begin with. unplug it for 60 seconds and then reconnect it. Try again. That should have been the 1st thing to try. Wireless is not foolproof. needs to be reset occassionaly.
