Is the talent level just too high in the league now compared to when the lakers set the record? While the lakers had some excellent talent and there were other talented players in the league, it is nothing like today where almost every team has one or sometimes 2 and 3 players that are stars. Do the mavericks have any chance of getting there?

I totally agree with you because the talent in the nba is at an all time high and will keep getting better. Before there wasn't that much talent and that allowed Wilt Chamberlain and the Lakers get that 33 game win streak. But now the league is just way too hard to get that many wins in a row. As for the Mavericks, they aren't even half way there yet. I say they'll lose in the next few games. They're good, but not invincible.

Doubt it, the talent level is so high throughout the league and often players from good teams have off nights where they dont care...especially on the road
