No. Raise minumin wage and the little business owner will have a harder time paying his employees which could result in them making cuts in benefits. They will then have to raise their costs of their products which in turn will hurt us. They want to raise taxes with the idea that more money will go to this one and that one but the truth is very few of these people will see it, expecially teachers. They are going to pour money into the poor and minorities rather than make those who can get out and work to do it and will attract more and more taking more and more out of my check the one I work hard to make so they dont.

I don't know. I saw something about the Democrats being willing to trade business concessions on 'free trade' and immigration in order for a higher minimum wage and national health care.
So let's look at that. Domestic legal employment will become more expensive and corporations would be freer than ever to use foreign labor.
Doesn't sound like a win for the middle class to me. Domestic wage levels are irrelevant if no one has to have a domestic work force.

No. The democrats will continue their tradition of "tax and spend," which will only hurt the middle class. Pelosi and her band of merry idiots have already made it clear that the first thing they'll do is remove the tax breaks put in place by President Bush, and the second thing they'll do is raise taxes...and they'll do this under cover of raising the minimum wage. After all, if we make more money, we have more money to pay towards taxes.
Some things never change.

NO! The Democrats are all about welfare for the poor, which means higher taxes on the middle class.

Democrats really never help anybody.
They screw the rich. They screw the middle class. And they do their best to keep the poor in the state they're in.. because it's their only solid voting block.

No. The middle class will get a tax hike. Sorry Libs, you aren't going to get what you thought you were, from the congress you voted for in November, 2006. Feel the pain! You asked for it, you got it! Next election, remember this adage, "Be careful what you wish for......".

On paper, without thinking about it too much, yes. After a few seconds thought, and understanding that political debts must be squared away, no. They will be unable to resist the move to socialist policies in much the same way that the Labour Party in the UK has been unable to resist.

The democrats aren't about helping anyone. Their basic way of thinking is that the government knows how to spend your money better than you do. Democrats are pros at spending other people's money.

I thought they were more concerned about helping the poor. um, I wounder if they hope to achieve this by taxing everyone excessively making everyone poor thus making everyone equal at least in their eyes. Just a thought.
