how good it is! DOES YOUR BABY DO THIS? I can't wait until she's older to give her some bananas, but I will wait. I have fed her about 2 - 4 ounces of rice cereal in her [breast]milk since she was 4 weeks. She was almost 10 pounds when she was born and was never satisfied until she got that cereal. Her napping expression just went to pure peace! What's up with these hungry little babies!? So cute!

When my little brother was younger he would cry because he wanted my ice cream so bad, but whenever I gave him a tiny tiny bit, he would start crying and get a brain freeze! I would hate having milk for every meal, so that's probobly why she looks so sad! :)

My almost 3 month old doesn't seem to want to let me eat a hot meal. It seems that every time I sit down to eat, she starts crying to be fed. The strange thing is that if I'm only eating a sandwich or something else that's not cooked, she doesn't seem to care. Maybe just the smell of food cooking is enough to get her little taste buds going like it does anyone else. And yes, there are times when she'll stare at me while I eat as though I should feel bad for not sharing.

I don't think she's feeling betrayed...I think she's just curious about what mom is doing. If she was actually mad at you, she'd start bawling her head off.

All babies go through fussiness at your little one's age. While the rice cereal may seem to keep her satisfied, it may set her up for health problems later on in life...from allergic reactions to obesity and diabetes. You may simply have to nurse her more often, or suppliment nursing with a formula of some type. My eldest was one of these voracious eaters. He was in the 110th percentile of weight by the age of 1 year; a healthy 32 lbs.....and try explaining to your pediatrition that you DON'T feed your overeater junk food.

Unfortunately, you'll have to watch whatever she eats until she is able to make smart choices herself. My son was eating salads by the age of 1 year old. 12 years later, I still have to watch what he eats and how much exercise he gets, or else he ends up overweight. If I had fed him junk food as an infant/toddler, he could very well be obese by now.

I so know what you mean! Now that my baby is 8 months old, I give her little tastes of just about everything (of course not the "bad" stuff or the things they shouldn't have until after a year) and it's so much fun! They are so curious with the world around them and it's pure joy to be able to show them! Good luck with your little one!!

My son is 7 months old, so he is eating with a spoon. Whenever we eat in front of him, he coughs like he is saying "excuse me, give me some" It is too funny. I just make sure we all eat at the same time. Because then he starts crying when we don't give him anything, don't start giving her junk food either. We try not to eat junk food in front of him, and when he gets older it's out of the house. I want him to learn good eating habits now.

LOL. I have an 11 month old that loses her mind whenever someone eats something in front of her. She's such a moocher! She'll take anything you have... collard greens, calamata olives, bread, pasta, anything... caught her eating dry cat food once out of the cat's dish. She also steals food from other babies at pre-school.

Just wait until she does eat.. Everytime I am eating and my son isnt, a loud gruntish roar comes whaling out of his mouth as he clenches his fists, and then when I give him a taste he laughs and bounces up and down.... Hes 11 months now and growing like normal, but he is food obessed!

Give her a little taste (just a drop) on her tongur of your frozen yogurt. She what she thinks of it then. 2 1/2 is young for cereal but it sounds like she is big and needs it.
Are you at mcdonalds?
Have a good day!

I was a baby like that. My parents have told me I would eat everything and a lot; I always had a healthy appetite.

Cute baby of yours!
