That is what the Bible says, but it also says that the man should respect his wife as well. I believe that Bible is correct, but some people interpret it the wrong way.

The only one to obey you will be your dog if you keep thinking this way. It is the year 2007 incase you didn't know! In some house holds the women make more money than the man and the man stays home and takes care of the kids...so why should a woman obey the man? It should be an equal relationship no matter who makes more money or who does what.

No way. That may have been fine like several millions of years ago, but not to day. Women have come so far in life that I believe that that they will not go back to a life that had them considered less than men. When they are now just like any man. Even in marrage women should not have to obey there husband. It's the year 2007 things have changed and people depending upon there religion should change with it.

You certainly are in the minority..those times are well gone ...now women and men are EQUAL, there are NO head of the house..
And try thinking about theese modern times, where we have families where MEN are at home, unemployed and the woman WORKS....should he be still the head of the family when his wife wears HIS pants?

in the sence you are talking about hell no I am a married man and I work nights my wife deals with all 5 of my kids and there is no head of the house it is 50/50 split as for the obey him get the hell out of your cave and drop the club dude those days are over ...

Yout must be single cause no woman in their right mind would want someone like you! Those days of obey and other crap are over. In a relationship both people should be equals not one lower than the other. Hello! wake up and smell the roses it is 2007!

Men and women should respect each other. I refuse to say we are "equals" because there are many levels that it's just not the truth (physically and emotionally men and women are built very differently)
But neither sex should "obey" the other. The Bible was written by men, it's no wonder it was their opinion on the subject.
