Okay here is what i think.

First of all i am going to be talking with the frame of mind the teacher is in. He problably thinks that you all are grown enough to handle a little critisicim. Also he justifies what he is doing if he is really trying to be mean to open your eyes to something more that what your we taught when you were growing up. Most of the time when a value that we were taught is abated then we tend to get a little fustrated and feel as though we are being insulted. But if that is the case then the teacher is not wrong. The world my friend is not all every one will agree with you and will do as you say. If you want to make someone obey you then get a dog. They are good at doing that. But as for another human being, that is not the answer. I TRIPPLE DOG DARE YOU!!!!!! to actually listen to the whole conversation maybe there is something hidden that you can not see. But if there isn't and the teacher really is being mean then you must take the initiative to pull the teacher outside or to talk after class and tell the teacher, " I was looking at ( the person who he was talking to) and i feel that you may have hurt his/her feelings and you do, do that quite often. I was wondering if maybe you could find some other way of getting your point across." He will look at you and say well thank you I didn't know that it bodered you so much. That should solve the problem.

I had an insulting teacher and I actually had the guts to go and talk to her, unlike everyone else. I told her how I felt and she turned out to be pretty cool. I just said, 'I feel you are being insulting towards me in class and I don't appreciate being degraded in front of my fellow classmates. Am I doing something wrong, or something you don't like?

The best thing is to just go talk to your instructor- it's actually the hardest option to do, but the most rewarding. At least that's what I've found out anyway.

Hi,

Several ideas:

Pray for the teacher. Perhaps the teacher is having personal problems and unfortunately is taking it out on all of you.

You and your classmates, not just you, should talk to your parents about this. Then they could collectively speak to an administrator at your school about improving the situation.

Record what is going on in class and play it for parents or administrators. Definite proof builds a strong case for your position. The downside of this is the teacher could be even angrier if he realizes what you are doing. So if you're going to try this, I'd see if your parents would write a note requesting that you be allowed to tape the class so that you could use the tape as a reference when going over what was taught.

Another possibility is to request a schedule change to another teacher. Schools don't usually do this or it would be like allowing students to pick their favorites as teachers, so you'd probably need a parent there in person to request the change for you. Of course, that wouldn't help all the other classmates and the school is certainly not going to move 10 or 15 people to someone else's classroom.

Another idea is for your moms or dads to ask permission to observe the class. They could each take a turn for one day. I can't imagine that things wouldn't change. That would also make the administration aware that there could be a problem they need to adress.

I hope you get the situation to improve. I am a teacher and I want my kids to feel comfortable in class so it's easier for them to feel comfortable to ask questions, so they can learn.

B. Drop the class
C. Somehow force him to quit
and finally, the best answer
D. Stop being a pansy, and get a sense of humor and laugh about it
