I started point 2 years ago and I love it. But my studio said that we could only start point when we are 12 because your ankles should be fully developed by then. But some people have to wait longer and some people can start early. I would suggest you start later than early because you probably don't want to take any chances with hurting yourself. Good Luck!

It depends on your level, instructor, and ankle strength. A good test for yourself is to releve in your very highest first position, and if you don't wobble or move and you have a full arch (where you could be on your box in pointe shoes) your ankles are probably strong enough. If you think your ready, ask your instructor to watch you for so he/she can tell you wheather your ready or not. If your just beginning ballet it may take a few years. So it all depends.

Well..it all depends on your instructor. but usually you have to do regular ballet and then move up a couple class and then you have the option of doing point. It will probably take a couple of years depending on where u are right now.
