i'm a guy btw,well the problem is that i told my friends that i got an xbox 360 for my birthday but i really didnt have one i just told them to get them off my back for asking "what did you get for my birthday?" all the time.I didnt celebrate my birthday because i didnt feel like celebrating it. now its been 3 months since my birthday and i really want to tell my bestfriend that i lied for starters. how do i do that?

If your friends were real friends and caring you would have felt like celebrating your birthday with them. Nevertheless tell them the truth you will then find out who your real friends are

Why would you lie over something so trivial?! They're going to find out anyway. You need to just come clean with your friend, it may hurt them though, if you can lie to your best friend about that then they are going to wonder what else have you lied about.

It is going to be embarrassing for you to fess up to have been so petty like that.
They probably know that you didn't get one anyway. Why would they keep asking you that? Nobody asks me that.
Maybe they were teasing you. Figure out why they would tease you in that way. Do you lie often? Is it a problem for you to avoid telling lies?

Never lie to impress someone hun, if they don't accept you as you are, move on they aren't worth it. Lies will always backfire on you, honesty is the best policy, even if ppl don't want to hear it. x
