it's not that great for 2 reasons. 1 the aspartame in the pepsi isn't good for a developing baby as someone said earlier, secondly it has caffeine.

I was a diet coke fanatic before I got pregnant...Hardest habit I ever had to kick, but I feel better for it. If you really want pop, go for the non caffeinated non-diet ones. And if you really just have to have pepsi, try having a regular one with some ice in it to water it down. You are able to have some caffeine, just try not to over-do it.

Good luck

Hi there. It is important to drink plenty of fluids when you are pregnant but I am sure that you could find some that were much healthier than Diet Pepsi. You do not need the chemicals that they use to sweeten diet drinks and neither does your baby. I would drink fresh fruit jucie and the low calorie flavored-water drinks that are available now.
Try to remember to make healthy choices when you reach for a snack or a drink. Ask yourself "is this good for my baby?". Also try to get plenty of rest and take good care of yourself.
I know that you know this but I just have to add....do not drink alcohol, don't smoke or be in the room with those who do and remember that you are making a precious little baby right now. Everything that you put in your body is going into your baby too, make sure it is good for him or her!
Congratulations!
Good luck and many blessings.

Its fine unless you sre drinking large amounts of it daily. I'm still drinking a can of coke a day, I really dont see the problem with it. During pregnancy its safe to drink up to 300mg of caffeine any more than this amount can be dangerous. One can of coke only contains 40mg. Plus a glass of cold, iced coke is good for morning sickness.

Diet Pepsi has caffeine which is not good for the baby so it's better to have the caffeine free variety.

You're fine to have one every day if you'd like. Yes you need to watch your caffeine, but as long as all your other drinks through the day aren't coffee or tea, you'll be fine. My doctor told me I could drink up to 4 cups of coffee each day (I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do like pop). I indulged my habit, making sure it was diet and only one each day, and my kids turned out fine. Everything in moderation...

No. Aspartame is not good for a developing fetus. Google is and you'll see many reasons to stay away. I would drink caffeine free pop. That was my craving when I was prego. Good luck with everything.

It's OK, but don't over-do it. Don' over-do it with any carbonated or caffeinated drink.
