For women it's 60 and for men it's 65, but I'm sure i read somewhere that they are stopping state retirement payments and if you want money to live on you have to save in a private pension fund. I'm sure they are increasing the age limit for retiring as well.

mostly for women it is 60 depending on the job your retiring from sometimes 55 and for men 65

Since you are only 51 years old, you would have to wait another 9 years if you were female (60), or 14 years if you were male (65).

Telephone your local pension office, they are usually very helpful and will let you know exactly what you are entitled to, and when it is due
